Mission Status: Completed.

Abandoning her known wit, and cunning writing skills. Agent 22692 succeeded to bore her readers to death. Resulting in a lack of followers. Heroes is UGH!

If you could have any super power, what would you choose and why?

After watching Heroes. Seeing all the possibilities, I would almost have to say either flying, or the cool healing thing that Claire does!

Thank goodness that tomrrow is the last day of Nablopomo!

Vintage makes me happy

Why did the world have to change so much? I wish it was like it was 60 years ago. When women would dress up to go grocery shopping. Men would wear ties, and hats everywhere. Kid's didn't watch television. There was no such thing as fast food. Cars were built like tanks. Movies were good. Music was better. Only sailors got tattoos. People had dinner parties. Kid's played hopscotch instead of COD. Every kid wanted to be a cowboy. They only drank Coke maybe once a month, as a treat. There was no such thing as the internet. Overall. I wish I was there to see it.

12 year old AOL'er

So my brilliant sister Hannah found a translator that turns text, into "12 year old AOLer" language. Here, this is what she wrote as an example:

My name is Sarah Elizabeth Pattridge. I like ponies. I live on a farm with my bff sissy Hanner and our collection of dust bunnies. I like to ride my pony Big-Butt-Bug-Boy. He goes forward, and he goes backwards, and he goes sideways. He likes to go sideways the best. Like a crab. Like a horseshoe crab. *ferocious laughter*

"Have you seen Angelo?!" Sarah asked.

"Who is Angelo?" Mom questioned immediately. "Is he your boyfriend? are you hiding boys in the house? I told you not to pick up boys..."

"Angelo is her iPod." Hannah assured their mother. "So have you seen him anywhere?" Sarah asked again. "Like, where would I see it?" Mom asked.

"HIM." Sarah corrected. "Angelo is a HIM not an IT."

"It's an it." Mom said.

"No. You don't refer to Theodore as an it, he's a HIM. Angelo is also a HIM." Sarah explained with a slight annoyance in her voice. Mom still looked skeptical. "Angelo is a him, Mom" Hannah echoed.

Mom looked up when Hannah spoke. "Oh, well since you say so, my darling child, I guess it is a him after all."

THE END

My Adopted Band Name

So my sister is doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). So yesterday she was showing me the forum on the website, and one of the threads was band names to adopt for your novel! So here's mine...

The Fruity Rainbow Gummy Strawberry Chewy Candies of Death, otherwise known as the Crazy Flaming Hot Cheetos that Are Allergic to Oreos But Eat Them Anyway.

That's it. That's what I am going to name my band...

Well, I think Hannah should add a band to her novel, JUST to include it!

Nonsense...

I almost forgot to post today. Only 8 days to go! Argh. I'm ready.

Today I working on cleaning out stalls, and getting stuff tied down before this storm that is supposed to be coming gets here. I helped dad ties tarps on both of the campers, and the horse trailer. So we should be good for winter!

So if I could go anywhere.. I'd want to go to Ireland!!

10. More. Days.

Whew, ten more days until Nablopomo is over! And I have to say, I can't wait. It's not fun after a long days work knowing you still have to sit at the computer for another half an hour and write about the boringness you did that day. Well, might as well get to it then.

I worked some 6 hours today. Jo and I were working on chainsawing! I un exciting as it sounds, it was pretty fun. I didn't actually saw, but I fed the wood for her to cut. But man, I feel like I have done 500 million squats. Up. Down. Up. Down. Up. Yeah, I'm sorta sore.

So picture time!!

Okay, have you ever pondered this? What makes a picture good? Is it the lighting? The angle? The color? What? A combination? I mean, this simple picture of a stop light is really good. But why? If you were driving you wouldn't be like, "Oooh look at that light post! It's so... Photogenic!" No. You don't. So what makes it? (I'm liking these cliffhanger posts :) )

My buddies :D

I have to say, this is a pretty good picture.^^

Well, they're MY buddies, but I don't think I am exactly their buddy. They were pretty much like, "Don't touch me." with a frownie horse face. Okay, sorry, this is going downhill pretty fast. I'm sitting at the library, pretty darn hungry, and waiting for Hannah to get out of day 2 vocal auditions.

Fairytale

No, I'm not trying to pull a Taylor Swift. I just watched the worst movie ever. It was SO depressing. It was called "In love and war" With Sandra Bullock. (I'm about to give the ending away) I can't stand movies where there's not a happy ending. I mean, the guy has to get the girl! So I may have decided to not watch anymore "true stories" and stick to Disney or somthing.

I've been thinking about this for the past 15 minutes waiting for this one page to load (yes, the internet is that slow), and I think that my favorite fairy tale/disney movie is Anastasia. I don't know... Maybe deep inside I've always felt like I have a sickningly rich Grandmother just waiting for me to return to her, and to my rightful place as queen of.. I don't know, I'd settle for the WORLD! Whhhaaahahahaha Okay, just kidding guys. Anyway... Whats your favorite fairy tale, or which one do you relate to the most?

For those of you on Myspace. I have found it incredibly funny that I get like, three friend requests a day on myspace, and usually no one I actually know. And on Facebook, I usually have to ask people to be my friend. And never, does anyone I don't know ask to be my friend. Just thought i'd point it out.

If anyone would loose their brain... It would be me.

This is me at the begining of the day... No really, for some reason I took a picture of myself this morning.
This is me now. You don't want to see a real picture of me.

It has been a bad day. Argh!!! Remember the post from Sunday, where I said I had locked myself out of my truck? Well, I did it again today. Only dad was at work, and mom was two hours north, so I had to ask Matt-dude at the Speedway gas station to call the cops. Even though I knew they were all at the Subway across the street anyway ;) . But a very nice police officer came and got it unlocked. But first he made me sign this paper that said something about if he rips the door of the hinges he doesn't have to pay for it.. That's comforting.

So basically I just wanted to go home. I was so frustrated with the whole world. But I went to work for awhile and did everything she needed me to do there. And wanted to go home even more because Laureen was a butt face today. Ugh. You ask her to do anything on the ground, and she's like "Circle?" and goes flying to the right in a circle. Grreeatt. Well, needless to say I just want to hunker down under the covers with a dog on my lap and some pizza being shoved in my mouth. I have a feeling my wish is about to be granted.

Eleanor and the love bug

This is the farm dog of the day! This is Josie, an Australian Shepherd who lives at Katrinas. :) She's a pretty active dog as you can imagine...
Katrina threw her back out last night, so I went over and fed for her, and worked with Eleanor for a bit. Katrina has this awesome little battery powered massage-er. It looks like a lady bug, well, a kinda funny looking one.. So I used it as a simulation of clippers! She did alright, as usual, but didn't like it on her legs. But I have time to work on that..

Today at work, I worked Laureen on the ground. She was sorta crazy.. Like, on a circle when she would go on towards the barn, she would just keep going, and going. So I had to do some sort of power stance so she wouldn't pull me over! She leaped in the air, and galloped and bucked, and acted stupid. So I probably had her going in the circle for a good 10-15 minutes when she finally slowed to a trot, then I side passed her down the fence, backed her across the pasture (basically flipping out). Then I had her go on a circle again, she actually walked! She looked like a sane, friendly, calm, pony! YAY! Mission Accomplished.

The weirdest feeling-

So after a full day of work, I went to Nashville to get some dinner. Parked in the Subway parking lot, locked the truck and walked to the door, and realised that I left my keys in the truck. Crap. So I reach for my phone to call mom, and realise that I left it in there. I did, though, have my credit card. So I walked over the the high school because I knew the family was watching a play over there, but the play was already over! So I saw the janitor out dumping something in the dumpster, and asked to borrow her phone. Got an answering machine, so I walked back towards Soup to nuts where I knew they were going to be eating dinner. Well, it was closed, so I tromped back to Subway, (Dad driving past me along the way. determined to at least get my yummy sandwich. And what do ya know... I knew the girl working at the counter! So I asked to borrow her phone, and finally got ahold of mom. They FINALLY came to my aid.

Well, the weird feeling was.. How alone I felt. I mean, couldn't call anyone, didn't know anyone around, obviously didn't have a way of transportation. It was weird! So. Lesson learned. Keep a spare key somewhere outside of your car. And always take your phone in everywhere with you!

Chocolate and more chocolate

Today was the chocolate walk! And boy, am I tired! And honestly, I don't really want to talk about it. I mean, it was fun,  but not something i'd want to do tomorrow or anything...

Well, the good news is that I am almost half way through Nablopomo! Woohoo! Maybe something entertaining will come up to write about even!

So I suppose I am going to turn this post into putting my random thoughts on.. Paper? Is that what you call the computer screen?

One word: RAIN! All these people in Nashville were covering their heads with paper when it started sprinkling.. Me? I didn't put my hood up, left my hair loose and walked around in the rain! That's me :)

Isin't it funny how certain tastes or smells bring back memories? For instance, i'm sitting here eating blue Jello. Now this brings back a memory of an Easter quite a few years ago where mom made mini jello eggs with blue jello. But the memory is that someone made me laugh so hard I baiscally inhaled a mini egg and had blue jello coming out of my nose. Hannah still laughs at me about that one ;)

And for some reason the smell of bleach ALWAYS makes me think of a daycare that I used to be in. But I mean, I was like 2 or three at the time. So I don't know how I can possibly remember that! But everytime, I can.

Do you have certain things that bring back memories?

Are all Kentucky people jerks? Please, prove me wrong...

Soo... Today was the North American Livestock Expo or whatever it's called.. And regarding the title, I was astounded at how rude some of the vendors were... Jerks. Plain and simple. I bet you're wondering why I don't have any pictures to put up; well, the answer is simple. I was going to take a picture of one of the aisles to use as a pic for here, but this lady (Or should I say wicked witch of the North American Livestock Expo) Said "You didn't get my display in that did you? Because you'll have to delete it.. It's called Copyright imfrigmant" <(I'm not sure how to spell that either) JERK. I was like, WHAT THE HECK! Shut up! I mean, the display was of license plates.. Seriously. Like the ones you put on the front of your truck type of license plates. Wow. That is NOT the way to sell things. I wouldn't buy something from that chick if she were the LAST vendor on EARTH. Can you see I'm a tad ticked off? Hmm... This is a good way to vent my anger-

So after that Brittany and her newborn sat down on this bench thing while Jon and Katrina were wandering through a booth. And another lady came up and said "Your not allowed to sit on that unless you want to buy it." I shoulda slapped her. I mean this is a girl and her baby resting on a bench, how big of a deal is this? For all she knows maybe she was testing it out (It was solid wood, so it obviously wasn't exactly comfy). ARGH! I hate rude people.

BUT there were some totally amazing things that happened. Well, three to be exact. First, there was a booth for a church, and there were these three young boys (Probably 12 or 13) there and the guy was telling them the gospel of Jesus.

Second, I was in shock because I saw a goat trailer for the first time. They have these awesome fenced in stalls for the goats or sheep inside the trailer with a cool like aisle. And they were playing KLOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were playing the Chris August song "Starry Night".

Third, when I was pulling in the driveway, there was a conservation officer parked by the bridge! YAY! We have had such an issue with poachers (IDK if that's how you spell it...) . And he was SO nice and helpful! He was like "Call the sheriffs office if you see anything suspicious, and feel free to come down here and check to verify it's us. And wow. He was very nice. FINALLY! A nice person! So overall this was a pretty eventful day! And tomorrow is the chocolate walk :) So TTFN!

No one watches a parade when it's raining

Does anyone else think it's hard to think of a first sentence for a blog? I don't know, it seems like the hardest part to me.
^What is that?! Is that Barneys blue cousin Izzy?!

Nooo... It's Eleanor!!! Awww She was so calm when we were working with her. I started by playing a game with her, the touch your nose on like, everything game. :) So I'd walk around the pen driving her to random stuff I had put around and she'd touch her nose on it, then we'd move on to the next 'thing'. Then Katrina put the saddle on, around, under and everywhere near her and she did great! It was pretty funny, I saw her spook for the first time, well, not really spook.. All she did was stand there and snort at the saddle when it was on the fence. She didn't try to run or anything like that, so I was pretty thankful!

Also we finished cleaning up the tack room, it looks fantastic! I really love being over there, and at Jo's. I don't know, they seem to understand me more than most people. Maybe because they're horse people? I'm not sure, but I love em to death! Along with the horses of course ;)

Also I rode Oprah and Shelby bareback.. Obviously at different times! It was amazing! Such a learning experience every time I ride. I haven't ridden a stock horse since July, so I was a bit rusty, but wow, once I got it, it felt great!
This is Oprah's BUTT! lol sorry, that made me laugh :)

Oprah's name is Oprah cause she's big and black ... Just sayin'

A little bit of nothingness

Heey,

Yeah, I'm totally feeling better. Yesterday was just pretty tough, and lonngg.

You never realize how much you LOVE water until you can't drink any... Man, I thought I was going to flip out. When your stomach is crazy upset you're not supposed to drink water (don't ask me why). But all I have learned from this is two words.. 7up and Saltines. Saltine crackers that is. The contain uh.. bicarbonate of soda or something like that. It totally works.

Okay, so tonight I went through Nashville to pick up some movies at the library and run some errands. And  when I was looking around CVS I saw one of the most awesome things in awhile! Now, mind you I don't get out much. But I found twisties (Aka hair bands) that were this awesome rubber material. Like, unlike the usual fabric covered over elastic. They were rubber! And these babies must be so new that they aren't even on the Scunci website yet! But I would totally check them out. Totally awe inspiring... Not to mention that their website is amazing! It has a spy theme.. I mean, wow!

Okay, well I suppose that's it for now!

Sick and tired!

Woke up at two in the morning with stomach flu-like symptoms. Apparently mom and Hannah did too. And seriously, I would write more. But I'm not feeling too hot right now. Will write a more productive post tomorrow.

Eleanor the smarty pony

Woohoo Eleanor is a brilliant little mare. I worked on (Yes, lists help me think things through..)

  1. Friendly game
  2. Porcupine (Backing, zone 2, zone 4)
  3. Driving (zone 1, zone 2, zone 4)
  4. Leading
  5. Walking over a white feed sack thingy, and tying it to the end of the stick and waving it around.
She was totally okay with it! It was amazing... Tomorrow we're going to play with a saddle, some other random toys and probably some yo-yo game and some driving to stuff.

Jo was super nice today and gave me a parelli puzzles book. So I will now be completely entertained!

Well I suppose my goals for her by the end of next year is:
  • At least level 2, if not into three on the ground.
  • Take to a Parelli clinic (Level 3?)
  • Level 1 riding?
That's all I can think of right now. All I know is that this is my chance to test my knowledge. And to have a semi SANE horse to do it on! I swear Big Boy is ADD, ADHD, and Bipolar all in one...

The glitter nail polish got to me-

Between the sleepover, and the pink glittery nail polish... My girly self is coming out. I absolutely love the hair in these pics. And basically, this is my hair style.

^^I have no idea why, but I love this picture! Who ever takes a picture of the photographer?!

I will write something worth writing about when there's something to write about :)

Zip

Wow, no words can describe what happened today... Mainly because nothing happened.

We had a sleepover last night with our friends Danielle, Hannah, and Shantia. Which was pretty much amazingly fun, we worked on making some flags for church :)

We were going to go to a family reunion tomorrow, but now we're not, but we'll probably end up going anyway. Or not. Who knows, that's how we roll.

I got to drive Laureen by myself too! I felt like such a rookie :) But i'm learning little by little.

Wow. I have nothing to write about. So I guess i'll add some random pictures again.
I'll take this horse...
 And this one...

Okay, enough pointless banter.

Just another day at work

Whew, what a life. We took miss Loreen out for a drive, which was pretty amazingly fun! She did great for not having been driving for months.

These pictures turned out pretty good... Imagine what I could do with a NICE camrea.. Anyone want to donate one to worthy blogger?

Well, I would totally write more.. But I am running short on time, so I will write more tomorrow!

"I found the source of the mysterious ticking noise! It's a pipe bomb!"

This is my bubby Tommy, and his daughter/my niece Olivia! I think I see a resemblance...

Again, I got to ride Loreen! That was interesting... We went up this CRAZY steep hill, and at the top there was a huge clearing.. I mean a good 15 acres of rolling hills. Amazingly beautiful. I am going to have to take a camera next time. But maaan, it was amazing! And She kept tripping. Like at one point, she tripped so bad she was on her knees. Jo said it was a "Seat tester" that if you can ride through that, you have a good seat. So I guess I'm good to go!

I worked with Eleanor today! We worked on the first three Parelli games. Well, the only new one we introduced was the driving game. And I think she got the basic gist of it. But I'm not entirely sure.. She just sort of looked at me like I beat her. So IDK.

For you horsey people who possibly read this.. Check this out. It is called "Horsenality" Basically finding out what Horsenality your horse has to help you in training. For instance, Big boy is a Left Brain Extrovert. And knowing that, tells me that he is playfull, gets bored easily, he's a fast learner, very smart, and is quite exuberant! So I have to do training sessions basically to entertain him, while teaching him something. So check it out! Horsenality Chart (pdf file). For more info, go to the Parelli website!

Shoppang

Wow. Really, I don't care who you are, shopping is tiring. I went to Rural King, Walmart, and the feed store all in like, three hours. But seriously, that's a lot of driving, and I was pretty bored.

I will warn you now. I am not feeling very creative.. So as usual, this post may be pretty boring.

Today is dad's birthday. And I would be all excited about that, but he is THE hardest person to buy anything for. I mean, he doesn't want anything he doesn't need, and doesn't need anything in general. So seriously, no lie, I bought him some rubber bungee cords. Loving, I know.. But unless someone has a better idea-

So I was pretty bored earlier, so I googled a bunch of barn pics. So here's some inspiration!

Well, I suppose that's all for now!
